El estado de salud de las cuentas municipales de dos de los ayuntamientos de la Vega Baja que aparecen como de los más endeudados en el listado del Ministerio de Economía, Bigastro y Guardamar, ha dado pie a que la oposición que ejerce el Partido Popular en ambos consistorios salga a reclamar responsabilidades a los primeros ediles, Raúl Valerio Medina y Marylène Albentosa, respectivamente.
En el primer caso, el portavoz del PP local, Aurelio Murcia, recordó ayer que la localidad tiene «el triste honor de ser la administración local que encabeza esta clasificación».
El edil criticó que la deuda por habitante ascienda a 842 euros pero dudó de que las cifras de Economía sean ciertas. «Son más altas de lo que afirma el dictamen», dice el concejal, que asegura que si se suma la deuda que se mantiene con proveedores privados que trabajan con la administración local ésta asciende a 14,5 millones, una cifra «escandalosa que demuestra la gran herencia que dejó Moya», reprochó.
Además el partido de la oposición alertó de que hace seis meses, en un informe de su grupo, la cifra salió muy similar y reprochó que «la salud financiera de Bigastro lejos de mejorar empeora», lo que les hace aventurar que el equipo de gobierno no tenga más remedio que recurrir a financiación privada. Murcia, por último, aventuró una subida de impuestos, como el IBI, para poder hacer frente a lo que calificó de «una política derrochadora, incoherente y que debería reducir gastos superfluos», finalizó.
Asimismo la portavoz popular en Guardamar, Carmen Verdú, lamenta que la alcaldesa eche las culpas a Camps de la deuda de la localidad, subrayando que el Consell ha invertido más de 10 millones de euros en el municipio durante los últimos dos años.
Verdú señala que la alcaldesa invierte en «asesores o campñas de imagen» y alerta del nuevo aumento de la deuda municipal y de los impuestos y tasas.
